Introducing the BUPA Menopause Service

BUPA – Menopause Service

Menopause is a natural part of life but doesn’t always come up naturally in conversation – especially in the workplace. To help with this BUPA has created a new Menopause Healthline service. This means that your employees and their named dependants can now call a menopause trained nurse in complete confidence for personalised clinical advice on managing symptoms and moving forward.

The advice is free to all employees. They can call as many times as they like with no impact on their benefits.

The telephone line for members is 0345 608 9984 and lines are open 8am to 8pm, 365 days a year.

Alongside this telephone line, you the employer and your members can visit the Woman’s Health Hub on BUPA online which is packed with practical advice and information on many female health concerns. Remember all BUPA content can be shared with your people, helping those in need and guiding others on how to support their colleagues.

Here at Health Matters we welcome this new addition to the extensive health hub that BUPA provide. We know that Menopause is one of the Hot Topics of 2021 and all insurers are offering valued support services for their members on a wide range of topics, its great that BUPA recognise Menopause should be included aswell.  We can help you with guidance on these services from the different insurers.

BUPA have not just stopped there. They have also signed up to the Wellbeing of Women’s ‘Menopause in the workplace’ pledge. The pledge commits to recognising that the menopause can be an issue in the workplace and women need support. Talk openly, positively and respectfully of the menopause and commit to actively supporting and informing employees affected by the menopause.
