Sleep: the big payback
15.05.2009
Eight hours spent lying down and unconscious—you’re not actively doing anything so it’s a waste of time, right?
Wrong. You’re far from inactive when you sleep and the benefits of a good night’s shut-eye shouldn’t be underestimated. Without it, you become sluggish, irritable and forgetful. With it you feel restored, full of energy and ready for the day.
With busy lives, it’s easy not to give it the credit it deserves. So don't treat sleep as a waste of time.
