BUPA communication on new Guidelines from the FCA with Regards to add on sales
Please see the attached linked PDF which provides advice on how BUPA are dealing with the changes to the guidelines provided by the Financial Conduct Authority in regard to the sale and renewal of insurance product add on and additions such as travel, optical and dental options and employee assistance programmes.
The new guidelines state the the consumer or organisation must be made fully aware of any additional options provided on their insurance contract and how this will effect the renewal cost in the coming years.
The option to remove the additional services have to be explained and if they do not respond or do not wish to change them then they will remain as part of the cover.
